A platform talk that draws heavily from my experience as a DJ and is really designed for a wedding or hospitality audience. The overall theme is that we can get very busy doing our job and sometimes lose touch with the soul of what we do. The style of presentation is story telling, with a range of emotions from laughter to tears.

The sub-themes are:

  • Appreciation of our place within the event and with the client. We are not the show. We are there to serve.
  • The Art of Acknowledgement. Giving and receiving thanks, and the long term value of it.
  • The excitement of being part of someone’s special day… and if you’re really lucky, sometimes, you get to see miraculous things.

Format: Handheld microphone, platform style

Time Frame: Flexible from 30 to 45 minutes. Longer time frame allows for more content to illustrate and underscore the key points.
